Looking for a List of Personal Values to start your Self Improvement Plan?

Here is a List of Personal Values that is by no means exhaustive, but will give you a good starting point on identifying your personal values and increasing your attention on what is important to you.

Go through it, and as you do, grab a pen and write down the personal core values that “click” for you, these are likely the ones that are most important to you, and/or have the most problems with. Either way, give these examples of personal values further consideration on how they affect your life. They will be a good indicator of what to focus on when building your personal development plan and setting your self improvement goals.

I’d suggest that you start with your own list of no more than 8-10, so you don’t end up overwhelmed. Self improvement is a step by step process. You're not going to change all areas in your life at once, but choosing one or two examples of personal values to work on is a good start!

I like my higher awareness in bite-sized, manageable pieces.

Once you’ve established your own strategy to work on, decide which are the top priority. Or, start working with a Life Coach to help you design your new life plan!

Are your finances a mess? Is there a particular area in your life right now where your stress level is very high? Do you have a current conflict of interest between tasks you are required to complete at work, and a specific area that you have identified? Maybe you’ve decided that you’d like to be healthier, and have more energy.

After you have prioritized your personal core values to make changes in, get going and do the work to create the life that you of your own design. Your list of personal values will be unique to you. This will give you focus to make sure you are building a life of what you want, rather than what you think someone else wants for you.
