mBraining: Learn to harness the power of your multiple brains!

What is mBraining? Well, through the process you can learn to integrate the power of your head, heart and gut brains for increased creativity, motivated action and wise decision making.

This is one the best self help books I’ve read in quite a while. Supported by groundbreaking research (be still my scientific heart!) and great tips on how to use the techniques and strategies to communicate with and integrate the wisdom coming through your head, heart, and gut brains, this amazing book brings further depth to fields such as NLP, positive psychology, meditation, yoga and various other mind-body disciplines.

The suite of methods you will learn in mBraining by Marvin Oka and Grant Soosalu are called mBIT, which is short for Multiple Brain Integration Techniques. It has its roots in personal development, behavioural change and modeling and is nothing less than transformational!

Although at first glance it appears to be written as more of a “text book” for practitioners of NLP and the like, it really does have practical applications that can be used for the average person looking for new tools in their personal development repertoire. I found that although there is quite a scientific slant, it doesn’t take away from the beauty of the process or the effectiveness of the learnings. 

Living authentically, increasing vitality, passion and purpose in your life

You will learn to integrate the wisdom of your head brain (knowledge), heart brain (heart values) and gut brain (motivation & action) to effect lasting change in your life. The authors declare that the highest wisdom and expressions of all three brains are Creativity, Compassion, and Courage. Can you think better place to live from, from an authenticity perspective?

Some of the things you will learn include:

  • The prime functions of each brain (ie. heart functions such as wants, desires, aspirations, passions, and personal core values)
  • “Discovery exercises” throughout the book to give you a chance to immediately apply the ideas
  • Applicability to YOUR life, through examples of case studies of the use of the process, and outcomes
